An interactive LIVE room mechanism that lets shoppers join small groups to unlock a fixed deal price together. You set the Group Deal price, group size, activity quantity, and duration. Shoppers pre-authorize payment when they join. Once a group reaches the required size, it settles immediately and everyone in it is charged automatically. While the activity is running and stock remains, the next group opens automatically, so multiple groups can form within the same activity.
Group Deal is available only when both the seller and the linked creator meet all of the eligibility requirements. Group Deal can be set up and launched in LIVE Manager on PC and in the app.
Bring more orders together in a period
Get more value from your promotional spend: the deal price unlocks only with committed demand
Turn a static promotion into an interactive LIVE event
Stay in control of price, group size, quantity & duration
Choose a price compelling enough to make the deal worth joining and a group size your LIVE traffic can realistically fill within the duration. As a starting point, try a 10% discount, a group size of 3, and a 5-minute duration, then adjust based on results.
Set up your Group Deal before you need it, so it is in the upcoming state and ready to start when momentum builds.
Large groups in a short window risk ending incomplete, which means no orders for those shoppers and a weaker experience. Smaller, reachable groups can help improve completion rates and create a smoother shopping experience.
Pin the product before and during the activity so viewers immediately know what's on offer when they join your LIVE.
Tell shoppers the deal price, how many people are needed per group, and that joining pre-authorizes payment. Shoppers can't cancel once they join, so clarity upfront prevents confusion.
Announce remaining spots ("2 more to go!") and celebrate each group that unlocks. Visible progress makes the activity more engaging.
Once shoppers join, you can't end the activity early. Warm up your audience first, then start the activity when momentum builds.
Both the seller and the linked creator must meet the requirements: the seller needs a Shop Performance Score (SPS) of 3.5 or higher, and the creator needs a Creator Health Score (CHR) above 150.
You can set a group size from 2 to 6 shoppers.

Yes. Once a group fills, it settles immediately and the next group opens automatically while the activity is active and inventory remains.
The total product quantity allocated to the activity, which is the maximum number of units you can sell through it, subject to your available stock.
No. The system validates your available stock when the activity starts and shows how many groups it can support.
Inventory is validated and locked when you start the Group Deal, not when you create it. If there is not enough stock at start, the activity may be blocked from starting.
Single-SKU products, or multi-SKU products where all SKUs share the same selling price.
No. Each shopper selects one SKU and one unit, and can join each Group Deal activity once.
Shoppers pre-authorize payment when they join. Once their group fills, they are charged automatically and the order is created immediately.
That group does not unlock, and the shoppers in it are not charged. Their unfinished orders are canceled.
That shopper is sent a secondary-payment flow. The other shoppers in the group keep their orders and price.
No. A shopper who has joined cannot cancel before the activity countdown ends.
Only if no one has joined. Once any shopper has joined, the activity cannot be ended early.
No. Only one of these activities can be active in your LIVE room at a time.
Yes, with seller coupons, platform coupons, and platform product subsidies. It is mutually exclusive with LIVE Flash Sale, Price Cut, and US member price.
The Group Deal sets the activity price. The final price a shopper sees may also reflect eligible platform or merchant incentives that apply to that shopper.
Flash Sale shows a lower price to everyone immediately. Group Deal makes the price conditional on group participation, so visible seats, progress, and repeated group unlocks turn the deal into an interactive event.
Group Deal unlocks one fixed price when a small group fills. Price Cut lowers the price step by step as shoppers participate, and participants pay the final price reached when the activity ends.
No. The Group Deal price is not counted toward your product's lowest price in the past 30 days, so running a Group Deal will not affect the price checks used for campaign registration.
